Widgets (General Information)
Widgets are independent sections of content that can be placed into any widgetized area provided by your theme.
Click the Save button within the Widget to save your edited settings.
If you want to remove a widget from a Sidebar but save its setting for future use, just drag it into the Inactive Widgets section. If you simply want to delete the Widget from your Sidebar, click the Delete link within the Widget.
Creating Widgets
To start out setting up your widgets, navigate to the widgets administrative section.
The administrative page for widgets has two main sections. First, there is a space where inactive widgets are “kept” – titled “Available Widgets”.
The second section of the page is the sidebar, where the themes “widget areas” are displayed. By clicking the arrows on the headers in this section, you can expand or collapse content and options.
To place a widget on your website, simply drag the inactive widget that you desire from the Available Widgets section to a Widget Area of your choice.
When a new Widget is placed in a Widget Area, it should automatically display the Widget options. Widget options allow you to specify some details about the way that the widget looks and functions.
